PROFESSIONAL OVERVIEW: Graduate professional mechanical engineer and guns and
ballistics expert, Roy Ruel consults both nationwide and internationally on both
civil and criminal gun and shooting related matters. He has been employed as an expert
consultant and witness on cases involving many types of guns including
pistols, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns as well as Airsoft, CO2, BB/pellet,
and paintball guns. He has provided litigation support on civil and criminal
cases for both plaintiffs and defendants.
Clients have included public defenders, individuals, government, the
military, insurance companies and the legal profession. He has also investigated and prepared outdoor
shooting-range off-range hazard assessments, and indoor shooting accidents in

in a broad range of weapons, pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns as well as
